Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase controlling accuracy by controlling a water-intake pump resulting from calculation of controlling parameters based on water-level in a water tank, water-level of water channel upper stream, and flow rate of intake.
CONSTITUTION: Water flows into a reservoir 2 from a river through an open chnanel 1, and water-intake is operated by a pump 3 by pumping up the water from the reservoir 1 to another reservoir 4. A water-level gage 6 identifies water-level of the reservoir 2, while another water-level gage 7 is installed in the upper stream of the open channel 1. Difference of these two levels is calculated as well as discharge rate of the pump is measured to give a data to an arithmetic unit 9 which decides controlling parameters that can cope with possible flow rate change in a water system. Then the parameters are transfered to an indicating controller 5 to control the pump 3, thus highly accurate water-level control of the reservoir 2 is achieved.
