Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the test according to an actual running state, by coupling one element of each planet gear mechanism to one of both the output shafts of a differential gear to be tested and by operating a driving machine and a dynamometer coupled to two other elements to apply a straight moving force and a turning force. CONSTITUTION:One element of each of planet gear mechanisms 3, 3' is coupled through gear mechanisms to one of both the output shafts 2a, 2b of a differential gear unit 2 to be tested. One of two other elements of each planet gear mechanism is coupled to a common driving shaft 6 connected to a dynamometer 8 and the other of the two elements is coupled to a driving machine 11. When the driving machine is stopped, a straight moving force is applied to the differential gear unit 2 by operating the dynamometer 8 and a turning force is applied to the unit 2 by operating the driving machine. According to this constitution, load inertia is reduced and response is improved. This results in facilitating a test according to a running state.
