Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately measure torque, by detecting an angle of torsion of a torque transmission shaft by using a potentiometer.
CONSTITUTION: A body to be measured is connected to one side of two short shafts 1, 2, which are supported in revolution-possible shapes and are mutually connected by means of a torque transmission shaft 5, and a power source to the other side. Rotation transmission mechanisms 13, 14, 15, 16 are connected to each short shaft 1, 2, and a potentiometer 17 is mounted to the midway, thus electrically detecting an angle of torsion of the torque transmission shaft 5.
