Abstract

PURPOSE:To estimate easily the strength of wood in the field, by measuring the rotation resistance value of a weight to wood. CONSTITUTION:When a handle 16 is turned counterclockwise under the state where a weight 5 bites into a wood 1, a frame body 15 and a scale plate 20 are rotated simultaneously in the same direction. When pressure 20kgf is applied, a needle 23 indicates this value; and when pressure is applied furthermore, a shaft 21 and the weight 5 are rotated together with the frame body 15 through a plate body 17, and the needles 23 is rotated simultaneously with the scale plate 20. Consequently, the shaft 21 is rotated under the state where the needle 23 indicates 20kgf, and 20kgf is the rotation resistance value of the wood. A torque value is obtained by a torque meter 14, thus estimating the strength of the wood.
