Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce throttling pressure drops of a steam control valve by controlling a steam flow rate in the nozzles of a turbine and generator sides with other steam control valves where the high pressure first stage nozzle is provided for a plural flow while all the other nozzle ends are provided for a single flow.
CONSTITUTION: A high temperature and high pressure steam flow from a boiler is branched to steam lines 31 and 32 through a main choke valve and controlled by 4 sets of steam control valves 33W36, 37W40 respectively, and introduced into a plural flow nozzle box 49. The plural flow nozzle box 49 is provided with a turbine nozzle 50 of the high pressure first stage and a generator nozzle 51. The nozzles 50 and 51 are devided into a plural steam chambers F1 through I and J through M. The above-stated steam is injected into revolving blades 16 and 17 from nozzles 52 and 53. Then the steam flowing in the direction of S and S' is introduced into the high pressure second stage and rotates a rotor 23, doing work. The above method can reduce throttling pressure drops during partial load, and enhance the internal efficiency.
