Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled Cr-Mo steel free from deterioration in the strength and toughness even in long-time stress relief annealing at a high temp. after welding by combinedly adding a very small amount of Al and B to steel components.
CONSTITUTION: This Cr-Mo steel consists of, 0.03W0.2wt% c, 0.03W1% Si, 0.3W 0.7% Mn, 0.7W1.6% Cr, 0.4W0.7% Mo, 0.015W0.12% Al, 0.0003W0.0025% B and the balance Fe. One or more among ≤0.5% Cu, ≤0.5% Ni and ≤0.05% Nb may be contained furthermore.
