Abstract
PURPOSE:To accelerate dephosphorizing and desulfurizing reaction while suppressing decarbonization reaction, in a steel making refining process, by using the basic slag of the specific composition at relatively a low temp, and refining the molten iron siliconized. CONSTITUTION:Molten iron is beforehand refined by oxidation followed by decarbonizing and desiliconizing to decarbonize C content to a target value and make Si content at less than the value given by the following formula.
