Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a ferrite-conversion annealing economically by a procedure in which a ductile cast iron pipe made by a centrifugal casting machine is put distributionally into movable heat treatment furnace groups in a red-hot state and then gradually cooled in the transformation point A1 temperature zone or kept at the temperature there. CONSTITUTION:The ductile cast iron pipe 8 made by the centrifugal casting machine 1 is taken out in a red-hot state and then put contributionally and directly into the first to third heat treatment furnaces 14, 15, and 16 of the heat treatment furnace group 12 moving laterally in front of the cast iron pipe take-out port of the machine 1. In each of the heat treatment furnace groups 14, 15, and 16, the cast iron pipe 8 is gradually cooled from 800 deg.C to 650 deg.C while being turned in order to prevent becoming an oval form.
