Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve lead grinding precision of an object in such a way that a grinding stone or the object is displaced in the direction of a grinding stone shaft, and deflected deformation of the grinding stone is eliminated.
CONSTITUTION: With detection of consuming power between a motor 21 for feed rotation of an object 11 and a motor 24 for rotating a grinding stone 22, grinding component force of the grinding stone 22 in the direction of Z-Z axis is computed by an operational comparison circuit 31 from the detected value, a preset lead angle θ and the flexural rigidity of a moment arm and the grinding stone 22. At the same time, displacement capacity of the grinding stone 22 in the direction of Z-Z axis corresponding to the lead error, in process of receiving the moving signals of a main shaft center 12 from a displacement capacity detector 35, the lead error is eliminated by controlling for opening and closing a pressured oil supply control valve 30 to a hydraulic cylinder 28 with use of the operational comparison circuit 31. This facilitates to improve the lead grinding precision of a spiral groove engraved around an object 11.
