Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain PbO2 coat not generating exfoliation or crack, by filling up PbO2 plating solution in the electrolytic bath which can perform power supply operation immediately and turning on an electric current and then, forming PbO2 thin film on the anode plate.
CONSTITUTION: PbO2 plating solution is put in the electrolytic bath regulated and fixed so as to operate immediately and thin PbO2 film is formed on the anode by electrolyzing by the same system direct current in a short time. Then, product on the cathode is dissolved by disscolution solution and is washed by water after discharging and flushing. Hereby, strong PbO2 coat is made on the surface of the anode plate. For example, plating solution containing 10wt% lead nitrate and 1.5wt% copper nitrate, is filled up in the anode room composed of the anode 1, the porous diaphragm 4, the cation exchange membrane 3 and the cathode 2 and middle room and also, cathode room and then, an electric current is turned on at 4A/dm2 current density for two minutes. Inner part is washed by water after discharge. Next, solution containing 3wt% antimony and 0.5wt% ammonium persulfate, is filled up in the cathode room and middle room and is discharged after 4 hours and then, is washed by water. Then, electrolysis of the solution containing Glauber's salt, is immediately performed.
