Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the outline of a metal evaporation film on a transfer sheet sharp by a method wherein a color-patterned ink layer is provided on the base material, an ink layer that contains acid or alkali is partially formed and a metal is evaporated onto it.
CONSTITUTION: The entire surface of the heat-resisting film base material 11 is coated with the layer 12 of a peeling agent, the colored ink layer 13 with an arbitrary pattern is provided on it, the ink layer 14A that contains acid or alkali is partially formed, a metal is evaporated onto it to provide the metal evaporation layer 15. Next the metal evaporation layer 15 is partially melted by said acid or alkali by using water, the whole surface is coated with the heat-sensitive adhesive layer 16 to obtain the partially evaporated transfer sheet 1. As for the ink that contains acid or alkali, an acid or alkali, which can be melted in an organic solvent and be made into an ink by a resin such as polyamide or the like and a solvent, can be used.
