Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an arbitrary pattern with a good metallic luster to the base material by a method wherein the surface wetting of the base material for the transfer is adjusted in a specific range and is aged under a specific condition of temperature and time and a metal is evaporated onto it.
CONSTITUTION: The surface wetting of the transfer base material made of synthetic resin is adjusted in the range of 31W35dyne/cm and is aged at temperature of normal level to 100°C for 10W240hr, a metal is evaporated onto its surface, and the metal evaporation film is partially transfered to the base material to be transfered through an adhesive that is formed in a proper pattern. After the metal evaporation, the transfer base material can be aged at temperature of normal level to 60°C for 10W120hr. For example, the metal evaporation film 2 of aluminum or the like is formed on the transfer base material 1 and the adhesive 3 of an arbitrary pattern is applied to its surface. Next, after the base material 4 to be transfered is pressed on the surface of the applied adhesive, the base material 1 is exfoliated from the other 4 to provide the metal evaporation film 2 on the surface of the base material 4.
