PURPOSE:To obtain clear image at a solid-state image pickup device by providing a light shielding unit for shielding bias light incident except on a photosensitive unit. CONSTITUTION:A color filter array 5 is fixed with adhesive 6 onto the photosensitive unit of a CCD 1. The array 5 consists, for example, of a red transparent unit R, a green transparent unit G and blue transparent unit B. A light shielding unit 9 for shielding light upon absorbing it is provided on the surface of the adhesive 6 exposed partly with the side surface of a color filter 8 for shielding the bias light incident except on the photosensitive unit of the CCD1 and the periphery of the color filter plate 8 on the CCD1.
