Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable color images to be distinctly detected with a small-size and simple constitution by providing photo detectors corresponding to color separating filters.
CONSTITUTION: Photo detectors 13R, 13G, 13B are provided to the photoelectric converting surface of an image pickup tube and the light from the subject through a color separating filter 8 and photographing lens 10 is entered to each photo detector through a lenticular plate 9. The photo detectors 13R, 13G, 13B are disposed respectively in the imaging relations with the regions 8R, 8G, 8B of red, green and blue colors on the color separating filter 8. The color signals of red, green and blue relating to the same spots on the subject are detected from the respective photo detectors. Here, by disposing the photo detectors corresponding to the respective colors in zigzag form, the improvement in resolving power may be obtained.
