Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the lack of sensitivity to blue to obtain a high-quality reproduced video, by selecting the area ratio of metallic electrodes in the solid image pickup element utilizing the photoelectric conversion film. CONSTITUTION:In respect to the photoelectric conversion element corresponding to blue, the area of the metallic electrode is made larger in comparison with photoelectric conversion elements corresponding to red and green filters to correct unbalance of photosensitivity. That is, the metallic electrode area of photoelectric conversion element 53 is twice or more as large as metallic electrode areas of photoelectric conversion elements 51 and 52, and red and green color filters 54 and 55 are caused to correspond to lines of photoelectric conversion elements 51 and 52, and blue color filter 56 is caused to correspond to the line of photoelectric conversion element 53.
