Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the blur of color at the boundary on an image which is caused when a single color light of high intensity is applied, by enclosing the periphery of the single color filter corresponding to the color to be separated with a material having a small transimission factor of the light of a visible region. CONSTITUTION:The periphery of each of single color filters 2, 3 and 4 is enclosed with a region 8 dyed into black. The red, green and blue filter parts are indicated by R, G and B respectively. The filters 2, 3 and 4 are isolated from each other by the black resion 8 having an extremely small transmission factor to the light of a visible region. Thus the laterial spread of the incident light can be prevented for the intermediate layers 5 and 6. As a result, the blur of color is avoided at the boundary on a color image. The surfaces of the filters 2, 3 and 4 are protected by a protecting layer 7, and this layer 7 is also divided by the region 8.
