Abstract

PURPOSE:To bond plane fastener members in a condition where the shape of engaging members exposed on the surface is partly restored, by a method wherein after overlapping a portion of the plane fastener the thermal contact bonding of the overlapped portion of the fastener is conducted on a die having a rugged surface. CONSTITUTION:A loop-side sheet member A and a hook-side sheet member B of a plane fastener are partly overlapped, and the overlapped portion is contact bonded by using a pressure die 1 having the rugged surface simultaneously with or after heating. An ultrasonic oscillator 4 may be used as a heating and contact-bonding device. Since the engaging members 2, 3 held in the recessed portions of the pressure die 1 do not receive any pressure, the contact bonding is effected while restoring the shape of the engaging members. Thought the shape of the ruggedness of the die 1 is arbitrary, the pattern of the rugged portion determines the outlook of the surface of the bonded portion.
