Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reproduce an arbitrary one or two channel signal, by giving an audio signal from a 4-channel recording medium such as PCM disc to a 2-channel PCM reproducing device added with a selector switch and a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A clock signal, sampling pulse and data signal of PCM signal read out from a PCM disc are inputted to input terminals 10, 12, 14 respectively. A channel selector switch 52 is constituted via a control circuit 48 so that the selected channel out of A-D channels is reproduced. As a result, the sample data of two channels selected in shift registers 18, 20 are sequentially obtained, they are latched to latch circuits 24, 26 with the sampling pulse and fed to D/A converters 28, 30 to obtain two channel audio signals selected at output terminals 40, 42 of the channels I and II.
