PURPOSE:To reproduce voice and character signals at the same time with low cost and simple constitution, by providing a converter between a stereo type cassette tape recorder and a TV set. CONSTITUTION:A voice signal 4 from a cassette tape recorder 6 is inputted to an RF converter 8 via a voice amplifier 7. On the other hand, a character signal 5 is inputted to a demodulation circuit 9 and a character data 10 is given to a data input circuit 11. The circuit 11 fetches a fixed number of bits from the character data 10 and stores it in a shift register 12 and the output 13 is inputted to a microcomputer 14. The computer 14 gives a display code 15 to an RAM16. The content of memory of the RAM16 is outputted to a character generator 19 via an address signal 18 from a pulse oscillator 17, and inputted to an RF converter 8 as a video signal, and RF modulation signal 8a is inputted to a TV set 21 via a scan pulse 17. Audio and character signals can be reproduced at the same time with low cost and a simple constitution.
