Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reproduce character signals at monitoring and reproducing, by recording the character signals such as a date on the recording medium corresponding to a part of screen, as required, at recording. CONSTITUTION:To record signals like date on a part of screen additionally, the specified data stored in a character signal generator 22 is selected. Next, from a timing set circuit 20 and a alignment set circuit 19, the timing pulse based on the set information is output and both the logics are taken at an AND circuit 21. Further, the output of the circit 21 is fed to switch devices 13, 16 as a control pulse and also fed to the control end and a circuit 22 of the switch device 25. Thus, the character signals are displayed on the desired position via terminals Z, W of the device 16 and also fed to the head 12 via an FM modulation circuit 23, recording amplifier 24 and device 13. Thus, by recording the character signal such as a date on the recording medium corresponding to a part of the screen, the character signals are reproduced.
