Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce a signal by one A/D converting circuit without disordering a sound image localization by sampling plural analog signals and digitizing them, adding identification data to their output signals and also digitizing them, and recording them on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An S/H circuit 3 samples an audio signal (a) with the sample pulse signal S1 of a pulse generating circuit 25 and an S/H circuit 8 samples an audio signal (e) with the sample pulse signal S2 of different timing; and their output signals (c) and (f) are selected by a switch circuit 26, whose signal (q) is converted by an A/D converting circuit 5 into an audio digital signal (r). Identification data S4 of the timing of sample pulses is added to the signal by a DSP circuit 27 and the signal (s) is modulated by a modulating circuit 11 and recorded on a magnetic tape 13. Therefore, only one A/D converting circuit is required, so the cost is reduced and the signal can be reproduced without disordering sound image localization.
