Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the manufacture of a frequency converting circuit easy and to make the size small, by the balanced type of constitution through the use of a transmission line with about 1/2 wavelength of line length and a pair of diodes. CONSTITUTION:An RF signal fed from a terminal 51 is fed to a connecting point 46 of diodes 44, 45 via an input line 50 and a capacitor 49 for intermediate frequency signal blocking. On the other hand, a local oscillating signal fed from a terminal 48 is fed to another terminal 43 of a diode 45 via a line 47. Moreover, a transmission line 41 in about 1/2 wavelength has a 50-ohm characteristic impedance, and the local oscillating signal fed to the terminal 43 by this transmission line 41 is given by about 180 deg. of phase difference and fed to another terminal 42 of the diode 44. Further, an IF signal frequency-converted by the diodes 44, 45 is picked up from a terminal 55.
