Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an image reflection type frequency converter which has excellent performance over a wide range from the microwave band to the milliwave band, by utilizing the resonance characteristics of a constant K induction (m) type low-pass filter for a filter for image reflection. CONSTITUTION:A radio signal filter 2, a local oscillation frequency filter 4, and a mixer diode 5 are coupled with a main transmission line. Further, a constant K induction (m) type low-pass filter (LPF)6' for an intermediate frequency signal is provided, and the initial-stage series resonance circuit 7' constituting part of the LPF6' is formed as a one-terminal short-circuit and one-terminal open type resonator for quarter in-circuit wavelength which resonates at an image frequency, and is coupled with the transmission line 1. A radio signal and a local oscillation frequency signal are supplied to input terminals 8 and 9, and the intermediate frequency signal is led out of the LPF6'. Consequently, the electric length of the transmission line 1 is shortened, and the device obtains wide-band characteristics easily and is reduced in size.
