Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve input VSWR and mutual isolation extending over a wide range by connecting 90 deg. hybrids together as fixed. CONSTITUTION:A local oscillation signal and input signal are applied to inputs 35 and 36 of 90 deg. hybrids 20 and 21, and resistive terminators 24 and 25 are connected to the other terminals. Further, a single-balance type frequency converter is formed of 90 deg. hybrids 22 and 23, diodes 26 and 27, and 28 and 29, etc. Both outputs of hybrids 20 and 21 are connected to hybrids 22 and 23. The outputs of the above-mentioned diodes are out of phase and an IF signal is output by way of LPF34. In the circuit like this, reflected signals from respective hybrids are absorbed by resistive terminators and never returned to the other inputs mutually, so that each input VSWR and mutual isolation can be improved extending over a broad band.
