Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of image density in high speed copying, in an electrophotographic copying machine using an Se-Te alloy layer as a photoconductive layer, by maintaining a charging voltage for main corona discharging in a specified range in raising the moving speed of a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A charging voltage for main corona discharging is kept in 6- 10KV in order to raise the movement speed of the photoreceptor of an electrophotographic copying machine having a photoreceptor made by forming an Se-Te alloy layer on a conductive substrate to 19cm/s-110cm/s, thus permitting deterioration of the difference of copying density between solid black parts and solid white parts in the copy to be prevented and therefore a sharp copy image to be obtained.
