Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely incinerate the remaining unburnt combustible material by a method wherein the high oxygen containing air with the fixed oxygen content is blown out from a stoker part during the final process of a municipal refuse incineration furnace. CONSTITUTION:Incinerated municipal refuse and the like are sent to a post-incineration stoker 5 and then to an ash incineration stocker 6. The ash incineration stocker 6 is supplied with the high oxygen containing air 11 which is made of the mixture of the air supplied through a valve 16 from an air supply pipe 12 and the oxygen, enriched with an oxygen separator 14 from the air, supplied through a valve 17 from an oxygen supply pipe 13. The oxygen content in the high oxygen containing air 11 is set from 30 to 70% by weight. As a result, the unburnt combustible material remaining in the ash sent to the ash incineration stoker 6 is completely incinerated by the action of high concentration oxygen gas, and the incinerated ash causes no public pollution.
