Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to use repetitively a photosensitive body by applying previously DC corona discharge together with DC corona discharge in reversed polarity when a photosensitive recording medium of electrophotography is charged and by destaticizing the photosensitive recording medium corona discharging or light irradiation preliminarily. CONSTITUTION:As DC corona discharge in a reversed polarity which is added at the charging time of a photosensitive drum, a guantity of charge changes gradually until it reaches an equivalence to -7.7muA at the initial state, and an equivalent to -8.8 muA at the 100 copy cycle time consequently, reduction of dark potential is possible to reduce to zero without generating a variation of surface potential by the fatigue of destaticizing and eliminating residual potential from the photosensitive drum to make its surface potential zero. The destaticizing by light irradiation is also available in the same way and traps of positive holes in a photosensitive layer is reduced effectively.
