Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a wire which is excellent in its welding efficiency and inexpensive in its cost, by setting the thickness of a shell steel material and the composition of a flux core material to a specific thickness and a specific composition, respectively, in case of manufacturing a flux-containing wire for gas shield welding. CONSTITUTION:When manufacturing a flux-containing wire for gas shield welding, the ratio of thickness (t) (average value of thickness of each part t1-t4) of a shell H consisting of carbon steel, and a diameter D of a wire (average value of diameter of each part D1, D2), namely, t/D is set to 0.10-0.23. Also, in the inside of the joining part of the shell H is formed a projected part (a) whose thickness is less than 1/4 of the diameter of the wire. Furthermore, a flux core F which is used for filling the inside of the shell H is constituted of a 2-10% slag agent consisting of TiO2, SiO2, Al2O3 MgO, ZrO2 and NaF based on the weight of the wire, a 1.5-8% deoxidation metal such as Fe-Si-Mn, Fe-Mn, etc. based on the weight of the wire, and iron powder as residual part, whose >=30% has been electrically insulated.
