Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the detection of overheat of a motor without providing a heat- sensitive unit by a method wherein a current concerned with a resistance value of a motor coil is identified to detect the overheat of the motor, in the break section of a waveform of a voltage supplied to the motor. CONSTITUTION:A transistor Tr2 is discontinued because an electric potential divided by a resistor VR and a field coil ST is a low potential when the motor is at normal temperature, and accordingly, an output Q' of a flip-flop circuit FF is left on a low level. If the temperature in the motor rises to abnormal temperature, the potential divided by the resistor VR and the field coil ST increases during the arc- extinguishing period of a thyristor SCR, and the transistor Tr2 is continued. Thereby, the output Q' of the flip-flop circuit FF is raised on a high level to cause a transistor Tr3 to be continued, a buzzer BZ to be operated and also a gate current of the thyristor SCR to be by-passed.
