CONSTITUTION:A toner contg. a colorant and a binding resin as principal components is dispersed in a carrier liq. contg. petroleum base aliphalic hydrocarbon or its halide to obtain a liq. developer for electrostatic photography. At this time, as the binding resin a copolymer is added which is prepared by polymerizing a monomer such as lauryl (meth)acrylate or 2-ethylhexyl acrylate represented by formula I [where R is H or CH3 and A is a group of formula II or III (n is 6-20)] with divinyl-benzene or its 1-20C alkyl deriv. such as o-divinylbenzene or p-nonyl- divinylbenzene. Thus, the toner has improved the shelf stability, and a high-quality image can be formed with this developer.
