CONSTITUTION:A toner contg. a colorant and a binding resin as principal components is dispersed in a carrier liq. contg. petroleum base aliphalic hydrocarbon or its halide to obtain a liq. developer for electrostatic photography. At this time, as the binding resin a copolymer is added consisting of a monomer (A) such as lauryl (meth)acrylate represented by formula I [where R is H or CH3 and A is a group of formula II or III (n is 6-20)], divinylbenzene or its 1-20C alkyl deriv. (B) such as o-divinylbenzene and a monomer (C) such as (meth)acrylic acid, vinylpyrolidone or glycidyl (meth)acrylate selected from a group composed of unsatd. carboxylic acids (anhydrides), unsatd. N-contg. compounds, unsatd. compounds each contg. a glycidyl group and (meth)acrylic alkyl each having 1-5C alkyl.
