Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the automatic air conditioner for an automobile in which when the operation is in an air warming mode, a blower motor is driven in accordance with the temperature of a coolant so that a driver can easily know why the blower motor does not operate. CONSTITUTION:The blower motor 12 of the air conditioner is driven in response to a signal from a microcomputer 20 which receives a signal from a coolant temperature switch 18 is arranged between an engine coolant 17 and a water warmer 11 and so designed as to turn OFF when the temperature of the engine coolant is lower than a predetermined value. The microcomputer 20 is operative in response to the signal from the coolant temperature switch 18 only when the air conditioner operates in the air warming mode so as to drive the blower motor 12. Thus, according to the air conditioner of the present invention, since the blower motor is operative or inoperative in response to the coolant temperature only when the air conditioner operates in air warming mode, the driver can easily understand that the reason why the blower motor does not operate is due to the coolant temperature status.
