Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-reliability input pen which is completely independent of the input device main body electrically and can prevent erroneous operations, by causing the magnetic field to act upon the external only when the input pen is operated. CONSTITUTION:A storing chamber 6 is formed near the pen point of a core material 5 consisting of a nonmagnetic substance of a input pen 4, and a projecting part 7 and a hole 8 are formed in this chamber 6. Further, a cylindrical permanent magnet 9 provided with a hole 10 is fixed in the approximate center of the storing chamber 6, and a bar-shaped low-resistance magnetic path material 13 is inserted to this magnet 9, and this magnetic path material 3 is compressed to the projecting part 7 through a spring 14. The tip of a contact part 12 is formed on the magnetic path material 13 in one body by the intermediate material 11 consisting of a nonmagnetic substance, and the tip of the contact part 12 is movable for the hole 8. When the pen 4 is not operated, a closed magnetic path is formed by the magnet 9 and the magnetic path material 13 not to give the magnetic field to the external; and when the pen 4 is operated, the magnetic field is given to the external by movement of the magnetic path material 13, thereby preventing erroneous operations.
