Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the fluctuation of quality and contrive the improvement of mass-productivity by a method wherein Fe, Mn and Ti are contained as essential components, and the Mn and Ti are made specified compositions. CONSTITUTION:The composition of an alloy thin plate forming the magnetic recording medium contains the Fe, Mn and Ti as the essential components, and the content of the Mn in the thin plate is 10-30wt%, preferably 12-25wt%, the content of the Ti required for making the alloy thin is 5wt%, preferably 0.5-3wt% and the rest is the Fe. If a plate thickness is under 0.5mum, a manufacturing yield gets worse and a magnetic characteristic falls, so that the plate thickness should be kept in the range of 0.5mum-1mm.. Thereby, the magnetic recording medium with the less fluctuation of the quality.
