Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the burnout accident of a current limiting resistor of a rush current preventing circuit by turning OFF the current controlling element of a chopper circuit with the constant opening detection signal from a contact opening detector. CONSTITUTION:When a contact is opened due to certain trouble, the auxiliary contact 26a of the contact is closed, thereby prevnting the base controlling signal of a base controlling circuit 36 from flowing through the base of a transistor 32 by an AND gate 38. Accordingly, the transistor 32 is intrrupted, no current will flow through a converter 12, and thus the burnout of a current limiting resistor 24 can be prevented.
