Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent an outflow of phosphorus by adding acid to the sludge generated in the method of removing a COD component in waste water through reacting said waste water with iron salt and an oxidizing agent in the acidic condition, and by again desolving the sludge and returning the resulting solu. to the oxidation process.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water 1 containing phosphous and a COD component is supplied to reaction vessel 2, wherein iron salt 12 and oxidizing agent 13 are added in 2W4pH to perform an oxidizing treatment. In reaction vessel 2, decarboxylation is carried out by the aeration with air 17 to strip the alkali component. Next, alkali agent 14 is added to the raw water and they are stirred and mixed in neutralization vessel 3 for neutralization, and flow in to sedimentation basin 4 where solid-liquid separation is performed. Overflow water 10 flows to the crystallization-dephosphorization process 9 to crystallize phosphorus ions on the surface of dephosphorization material 16. The precipitate 5 is desolved in treatment vessel 6 by adding mineral acid 15 and acidic liquid 7 containing Fe3+ is returned to said reaction vessel 2.
