Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize the exhaust gas as the carrier gas for pulverized fuel and reduce costs as well as excellently perform the ignition and combustion of the pulverized fuel by a method wherein after the exhaust gas of a combustion furnace or the like has been contacted with a high-temperature substance so as to heat up, pulverized fuel is mixed thereinto and blown into the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: When the method is applied to an equipment in which the exhaust gas 2 of a blast furnace 1 is led to a gas bholder 7 through a dry dust-remover 3, a wet dust-remover 4, a mist separater 5 and a septmn valve 6, the exhaust gas duct between both the dust removers 3 and 4 is branched, and the branched gas 8 is led through a blower 9 to a slag cooler 10 as a high-temperature substance cooling tower 10, which dry-granulates the slag produced in the blast furnace 1 and then cools the same, makes high-temperature slag granules 11 exchange heat with the branched gas 8 so that they become low-temperature granules 12. The cooling gas heated up in said cooling tower 10 is then fed to a pulverized fuel feeding tower 15 through a dry dust-remover 13, blown into the blast furnace 1 together with the pulverized fuel and burnt.
