Abstract

PURPOSE: To use excess gas effectively to save energy by recovering the combustion gas generated in ironworks and the like by using the hot stove in blowing-out and employing the recovered gas for drying and retaining heat of bricks of a mixer car.
CONSTITUTION: The excess gas generated in ironworks and the like during the blowing-out period of the hot stove of blast furnace is fed to a combustion chamber 3, sintered by feeding air for combustion and the heat thereof is stored in bricks of a checker work 1. Cooled air is fed to the checker work 1 through a by-pass valve 16a by operating a blower 8 for the hot stove. The cooled air becomes hot air while passing through the checker work 1, passes through the combustion chamber 3, and an hot stove valve 10 and enters a mixing chamber 18. Then, this air is fed to the mixer car 17 and the bricks of the car 17 are dried and the heat is retained.
