Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate a pulse train, which has the pulse width or pulse interval corresponding to an input signal, through simple circuit constitution without high-level adjustment, by counting the number that corresponds to the input signal by a counter and by repeating the counting operation. CONSTITUTION:A binary digital signal from input terminal 5 is inputted to FF circuit 1, whose outputs Q and Q' are supplied, synchronizing with synchronizing signal CK2, to encoder 3 successively and then encoded into BCD codes, etc., by encoder 3 to be inputted to counter 4. Synchronizing with clock signal CK1, counter 4 starts to count down at the rise of output signal CK3 and, when its counted value coincides with the number set in counter 4 previously, generates a pulse signal. According to the number that corresponds to the input signal, the counting operation is repeated to generate as modulation output A a pulse train which has the pulse width or pulse interval corresponding to the input signal via FF circuit 2.
