Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to assemble an optical switch easily and to small size by providing the same with such a movable reflection mirror which allows the parallel exit light from one input fiber to successively enter the plural output fibers arranged on the same plane and a driving device for the same. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from an input fiber 11 is arranged to parallel light by an input lens 14, and this parallel light enters output fibers 12 via a reflection mirror 16A, a movable reflection mirror 16B and an output lens 15. The mirror 16B is mounted to a holder 22 which is moved by a moving device 20 having a stepping motor, and is moved to the prescribed position. Since the optical axes of the lenses 14, 15, and the fibers 11, 12 are all arranged on the same plane, the switch is easily assembled and miniaturized.
