Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of printing and stabilize the particles of ink by retaining a horn of a longitudinal vibration system at the nodal place of vibration where the amplitude is zero and by providing a flow-out channel of ink inside the horn. CONSTITUTION:The horn 1 is an exponential horn and the bottom part 2 thereof is fitted with an electrostrictive vibrator 3 generating ultrasonic vibrations. On the lateral surface of a place 4 which turns to be a node of vibration when the horn 1 makes ultrasonic vibrations is provided the flow-out channel 9 of ink formed on a hole 8 in the longitudinal direction which is located on the center line of the horn 1, reaches the end surface of a head part 6 and has a discharge port 7. In addition, a nozzle plate 10 having a small hole 11 is fitted to the end surface of the head part 6 in such a manner that the small hole 11 is matched with the discharge port 7, and the place 4 is retained by a retaining member 13 fixed to a fixation member 12. By the ultrasonic vibrations of the electrostrictive vibrator 3, transmission is made with amplification of the amplitude at the head part 6 of the horn 1 and thus the ink in the flow-out channel 9 is jetted outside from the small hole 11 of the nozzle plate 10 through the discharge port 7.
