Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent cracks caused by welding when electron beam welding is made, by changing the focus point of electron beam at the time of slope down in the electron beam welding machine.
CONSTITUTION: The welding is commenced by focusing electron beam 7 generated from electron gun 11 as shown by solid line 14 through electromagnetic lense 12 and irradiating the focused electron beam on welding starting point 3 of welding line 2 while welding object 1 having welding line 2 is carried along the direction of arrow 6.
