Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent breakage of transistors of a control circuit in which a controlling transformer is incorporated in a main transformer by letting flow weldig current after stabilization of control circuit voltage and cutting off primary side contacter after cutting off welding current.
CONSTITUTION: When a trigger switch is made on at the time of welding, normally opened contacts 1aW1c are closed and voltage is applied to a main circuit and control circuit. Then, a smoothing condenser 12 of the control circuit is charged, and when stable operation voltage is reached, command is given from a welding command circuit 13 to transistors 6, 7 by a contact point of a voltage detection relay 25, and output voltage is applied between a welding wire 19 and parent metal 24. Next, when welding is completed, the trigger switch is made off and a wire feeding motor 20 is stopped, and then welding command is cut off. At this time, it is detected that pulse currnt becomes zero by becoming off of the current detector, and normally closed contact points 1aW1c of the contacter are opened to complete welding.
