Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to perform the moderate combustion and to suppress overheating of a furnace temperature, by a method wherein a high-temperature, low-oxygen concentration gas is added to air to be fed to an incinerator to prepare combusting air having a low oxygen content, and said air is fed to the incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: A material to be incinerated, which is prepared in a manner to dry a sewerage sludge by means of a hot blast drier 1, is changed into a fluidizing bed incinerator 9 by means of a feeder 10 togetherwith suspended matter discharged from a cyclone 5. Fluidized combustion air is fed to the fluidizing bed incinerator 9 by means of a fan 8, and a high-temperature, low-oxygen concentration gas exhausted from the drier 1 through the cyclone 5 is then fed to a heat collector 7 through the working of a circulation fan 6. Part of exhaust gas passing through the heat collector 7 is caused to join said fluidized combustion air at the downstream side of the fan 8. A mixture ratio of the exhaust gas to the fluidized combusting air is set so as to be 5W40%, and this regulates an excessive rate of combusting air.
