Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled printing plate which requires no wetting water while discriminating the degree of its treatment accurately by providing a cured film layer of organopolysiloxane on a substrate interposing a specific color-changing substance layer and by selectively plasma-treating the film layer. CONSTITUTION:A color-changing substance layer which contains about 0.01- 5wt% dyes (e.g. crystal violet lacton) coloring by coming into contact with an activated seed in a plasma state is used. On substrate 1, organopolysiloxane cured film layer 3 of about 2-50mum in film thickness is provided through said color-changing substance layer 2 and protection layer 4 is formed in a pattern shape on it. Next, the part of said cured film layer 3 which is not covered with protection layer 4 is made lipophilic by performing a chemical treatment by plasma to form printing element part 3' sensitive to ink, and then protection layer 4 is removed to obtain a printing plate. In the said method, the degree of the plasma treatment effect is discriminated by the change in color of layer 2.
