Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a printing plate which has superior rubbing resistance and requires no wetting water by providing a cured film layer of organopolysiloxane on a substrate, by selectively plasma-treating it and then by providing a specific ink absorbency layer on the treated cured film layer. CONSTITUTION:On substrate 1, organopolysiloxane cured film (favorably, highly polymerized organopolysiloxane having, as a methyl group, about >=90mol% among organic groups to be combined) 2 of about 2-50mum film thickness is provided and on it, protection layer 3 is formed in a pattern shape. Next, the part of said cured film layer 2 which is not covered with protection layer 3 is made lipophilic by performing a chemical treatment by plasma to form plasma-treated layer 2'. After protection layer 3 is removed, layer 4 having wear resistance and ink absorbency is formed on plasma-treated layer 2' to obtain a printing plate. Further, when the entire surface of the substrate is coated with urethane type thermosetting adhesives, for example, the adhesive sticks only onto treated layer 2', so that said layer 4 can be formed extremely easily.
