Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate night soil disposal at a high efficiency while saving diluting water consumption, by arranging a controlled dilution vessel and a precipitation vessel in succession to an aeration vessel, diluting highly condensed sewage or the like, separating the diluted sewage or the like into a liquid part and a solid part, and returning a part of the supernatant liquid to the dilution vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Highly condensed night soil or the like is disposed in an aeration vessel 1 by an active sludge process at first, and carried to a succeeding controlled dilution vessel 2, where the night soil or the like is mixed, diluted and agitated with disposed water returned from a disposal vessel 4. The liquid mixture is then introduced into a precipitation vessel 3, and separated there into a liquid part and a solid part. The supernatant liquid is carried to the disposal vessel 4. A part of the disposed water in the disposal vessel 4 is recycled as a diluting liquid in the controlled dilution vessel 2, while the other major part of the disposed water is carried to the following step for the further disposal. Thus, the night soil is aerated in a high condensed state. Consequently, the night soil disposal can be done consuming only a small amount of diluting water in a small-sized installation, without necessity of a special water source.
