Abstract

PURPOSE: To economically dispose night soil with a small amount of diluting water by a small-sized installation in a three-step process of biologically disposing the night soil, by systematically circulating a disposed solution and a sludge between each step.

CONSTITUTION: A pretreated stock night soil is introduced into the first conversion vessel 5, and disposed therein. The generated solution is carried with compressed water to a compressed floating vessel 9, where the solution is separated to a floating sludge and a lower clean liquid. The floating sludge is returned to the first conversion vessel 5, while the lower clean liquid is carried to a second vessel 10. In the vessel 10 acting as a diluting and mixing vessel, the lower clean liquid is mixed with a part of final water TW to be discharged, and carried to the second conversion vessel 11. After disposed in the vessel 11, the solution is carried to a precipitation vessel 12. A sludge in the vessel 12 is returned to the first conversion vessel 5 and the diluting mixing vessel 10, and repeatedly disposed. The solution from the vessel 12 is further disposed in a third conversion vessel 13, and carried to agitating vessels 14, 15 and then a flocking precipitating vessel 16. The solution from the vessel 16 is disinfected. Thus, the economical combination of each step enables to dispose night soil in a simple installation.
