Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound shown by the formula I (R is H, lower alkyl, or phenyl; R1 is H or lower alkyl; R2 and R3 are lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, aralkyl, etc.; R2 and R3 can form cyclopentane, cyclohexane, indane).
EXAMPLE: 3,3-Dibenzyl-1-phenyl-2,3-dihydroindolizine-2-one.
USE: A drug having hypotensive action and antimicrobial action.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II (R4 is lower alkyl; X is halogen) is reacted with a mono or dihalogenated compound shown by the formula R5(X)n (n is 1W2; R5 is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, etc. when n is 1, and R5 is 4W5C polymethylene when n is 2) in the presence of a basic substance (e.g., sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, etc.) to give a compound shown by the formula I.
