Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for various organosilicon compounds in high yield in one stage, by reacting hexaorganodisilane with an acid chloride in the presence of a bivalent Pd complex and an organophosphite as a catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [R3 is monovalent group selected from monovalent (substituted)hydrocarbon and (substituted)furyl] is reacted with a compound of formula II (R1 is monovalent hydrocarbon) in the presence of a catalyst selected from the group consisting of a catalyst system consisting of a bivalent Pd complex and an organophosphite of the formula P(OR2)3 [R2 is (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon containing no aliphatic unsaturation] and a zero- or bivalent Pd-phosphite complex to give the compound of formula III. The titled compound can be prepared advantageously due to no alkali metal which is not readily handled industrially or expensive alkyllithium used as a raw material.
